Bladder Conditions

Infection

Chronic bladder infections are an extremely common problem in the menopausal woman. It is related to the atrophy at the base of the bladder and the urethra (the tiny opening to the bladder from the vulva). These tissues are estrogen dependent and with menopause, their tissue thins out making the bladder more susceptible to bacteria. Treatment with the MonaLisa Laser will decrease if not eliminate chronic infections by thickening the tissue in the bladder and urethra decreasing the ability of bacteria to enter.
